The MiniMiti Adventures

The MiniMiti Adventures is an educational children's television program that teaches all members of the family the benefits of including more fruits and vegetables in their diet, with specific focus on children 4 - 7.

This animated program is available in five progressive versions. Each version has a different mix of English and Spanish.

Changes in dietary and physical activity habits are essential to combat the childhood obesity epidemic:

  • Currently, 20% of children 2—5 are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight, while 17% of all children are classified as obese.

  • Childhood Obesity is especially prevalent among Hispanic Americans: nationwide, about 25% of Hispanic and African American children are obese, compared with about 10-12% of Caucasian children.

  • Preventive action, including nutrition education in early childhood, is critical to end the obesity epidemic before it leads to life-long consequences.
