We are seeking a talented and dedicated Front-end Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of professional experience building front-end interfaces for commercial web applications in a production LAMP environment.You will join a growing team working to drive Starling's products from idea to commercialization and be responsible for delivering gorgeous front-end interfaces for complex web software products. You will use proven, industry standard software development methodologies and processes to build robust software applications.
This is an on-site position, based in our midtown Manhattan office. Only local applicants who are authorized to work in the US will be considered. No recruiters or phone calls please.
Responsibilities
• Develop clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
• Translate Photoshop designs into front-end interfaces
• Organize CSS and image libraries
• Implement object oriented front-end code into a multi-tier system.
• Work directly with PHP Developers and Web Designer to ensure front-end interface works and looks as designed and specified
• To focus on the development of a specific project
Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
• 3+ years professional experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development
• At least a BS in computer science or related discipline
• Expertise creating clean HTML and CSS code from Photoshop designs
• Advanced object oriented JavaScript development
• Experience using the MooTools, Dojo, or Prototype frameworks
• Understanding of MVC architecture
• Basic understanding of PHP Development to implement front-end interface into PHP applications
